Buck is still grinning as Malarkey makes his way over to him. A part of Buck is annoyed at himself, this is a war zone, he should act like the officer he is. Yet, another part, a much smaller part has surfaced again, a part that he hasn’t see as much when he’s not in England. -Thanks, Buck.- “No problem,” Buck's tone probably matched Muck’s in the dry sarcasm, well in Buck’s own way. Usually it was graced with one of Buck’s toothy grins.
- "Did you just come from the line or something? Anything exciting?-"Buck’s face slightly falls, and he feels himself slipping back into Lt. Compton, an officer, a man who has almost seen too much war while attempting to keep himself and his men alive in a war that was the worst the world had seen. Truthfully, there are more rumors runnin’ ‘round up there than facts. Communication has gone to hell, seems like a different message comes from a different source everything we think we have something figure out. “ He stops speaking for a moment tries to think about what he should tell them. They are technically not his men he should let their own officers tell them what they felt was necessary. But he has been with them long enough to feel a sense of duty to tell them what is thought to be going on. Give them a heads up...
Keep it under your helmets, but there’s are some rumors of a German Panzer attack may happen in the future.’ Buck makes sure to emphasize the next couple of lines, ‘BUT there is NO complete evidence about it, just rumors. Stay alert, and keep near a foxhole. As of news of a next bombardment of German shells, CP says to be on constant alert. I figure that you guys have that figure though...you guys are Airborne.’
