Ron didn't like it here. The ruins of the houses were empty and he was not able to find almost anything valuable here. The building where his CP was, didn't do much to keep them warm and almost all the men around were coughing. Of course, they had survived Bastogne, so this was nothing. Still, he didn't like this town.
He read through the papers on his desk, but his mind was wandering, when someone knocked on the door.
"Come in," he called and looked up.

The door slowly opened with a creak, Ron heard a cough and a sniffle.
Carwood Lipton stood at the door, he looked a little sick, but many of the men were at that point. War wasn't healthy. He immediately stood up straight when Speirs looked at him. 'Sir, I just wanted to let you know a couple more of our men have fallen ill. Cobb is among them, and I don't think he's fit to do anything right now.'
Carwood continued to stand up straight, held in a cough and blinked a few times to try to push away the need to cough or sneeze

"I am not really surprised. ... Is that what Doc said?" Ron asked, but then checked Lipton again with an apprehensive look. "At ease, First Sergeant! You know, you don't need to pretend you are alright, Lipton. I heard you coughing, right before you entered." He sighed, stood up and walked around his desk to look at Lip closer. "How do you feel?"

Lipton relaxed in his stance a little. He nodded, ' Doc Roe is taking care of them right now. He looked around the room for a bit, then lifted his arm to cough. 'I'm a little sick, Sir, but I'll be just fine..' He sniffled and looked at Speirs at attention.

Ron frowned suspiciously. "You should take some rest, Lip. I don't need you to fall ill like the others." Ron knew that Lipton won't listen, but he had to say that. " I just got the orders from the division. We will move out soon. Sadly, they don't send us out of the lines, but to another shitty bombed-out town like this one," he said displeased.

Malarkey sat in the open area of the CP, overhearing everything Speirs and Lip were saying. Moving out again? Don was extremely exhausted, and sighed as he thought about walking another step. This is going to be hell, he thought.

Lipton didn't know what to say for a moment and only curled his lips in and nodded. He raised an arm to scratch the back of his neck. 'Sometimes I wonder how much longer all the men can do this..'
He really didn't want to move out again, even though this destroyed city wasn't the nicest place, he wouldn't mind staying in one spot for a while. Unfortunately, there was no luxury like that in war. They had a job to do and they weren't going to stop until they've finished it.

Ron looked at him, sharing his concerns. But there was nothing he could do about the orders.
"We won't receive any supplies or ammunition until we get there. Check what we have and what we need. Ask Doc, if there is something he wants to add to the supplies. We have to let them know in time. You know, how long everything takes," he said with a tired smile.

Malarkey contiuned to listen, his heart dropping further and further with every word. Moving out, walking, no heat, or showers. He was tired beyond belief, and the loss of Skip was ever so present as he sat in the dank CP.

[Teehee]
Carwood nodded for a second time. He would have to inform all the men of their departure. It seemed to him that he was always the bearer of bad news.
He saluted his superior and walked out of the room coughing.

Luz was wandering and managed to find his way to where Malarkey sat by himself. The room was dark and chilly, but Luz recognized that firey hair anywhere. "Hey Malark, what`re ya doin here?" Luz spoke in his normal playful tone and began walking up to Malarkey.

Don knew it was Luz before he even looked up, though Luz's cheerful tone didn't lift his spirits much. " We're moving out again." he sighed, looking to his friend with exhausted eyes.

Luz's joyful tone lowered a bit. "Movin' out? Already?" His big smile faded into a concerned look. All the guys were exhausted, and being the funny guy in the bunch, Luz's priority (to him atleast) was to make them laugh and to keep 'em going. But even he was growing weary.
"You sure?"

Don nodded. " Heard it straight from the horses mouth." he answered, before looking back up t Luz. It was a shame to see his friends usually so happy face turned upside down.
