Lew looked around as he and the rest of his fellow marines stepped off of the ship that had rescued them from the hell that had been Guadalcanal. They had been through the ringer, and Lew couldn't be happier to be back on home turf. Granted, Melbourne wasn't really his homeland, but it seemed like it. Everyone there was on their side, and they were greeted warmly. Especially by the women.
"I think I'm gonna like it here."
Lew smirked to Leckie, who stood beside him, before running a hand through his dark hair. There was so much to do, to see. To EAT! Lew was deeply sick of the food distributed by the cooks, and his stomach growled almost non-stop. But just as Lew's excitement peaked, it was thrust right back down.
"Marines, report to the stadium!"

Sidney grinned at Chuckler's comment, and opened his mouth to comment, but as he did so, the sound of all of his hope crashing down interrupted him. "Fantastic....Does anyone even know where this stadium is?" He questioned quietly, looking around, but at no one in particular.

Leckie also smiled at Chuckler. Robert was hoping that theyd get some relaxing time, but being in the Marines was no easy business. His high spirits sunk as he heard that the marines were being called.
He looked to his side towards Sid, 'Heck if I know,'

Chuckler shook his head, casting a face at Leckie, before sighing and looking around. " I guess just follow the leader." He said, pointing to the rest of the marines that had come from the same boat, who were hailing cabs.

Sid took a deep breath. This was going to be a short-lived break...he could feel it. Hitching his pack higher up on his shoulder, Sid followed the rest of his friends towards a waiting car.

Runner couldn't believe it. They finally get off the line and for what. More soldiering? Runner wondered if they'd ever get a break before following the others.

Chuckler pulled himself into the backseat of the waiting cab, scooting over so that there was still some room for the other guys to climb in. Chuckler took up a fair amount of space, seeing he was taller than most of his friends, and even a lot of the other marines. But with practice, he learned how to condense himself in some aspects. "Come on, guys, hurry up."

Runner shoved right next to Chuckler saying, "Life sucks! War sucks! I've had it."

Sid shook his head at Runner's comment as he piled himself into the car beside him. Looked like Leckie and Hoosier would have to find another car. " Who hasn't heard that one before?" he scoffed.

Hoosier placed his foot on the step to get into the car, only to see that there was no room left. " Damnit Chuckler, you giant." Hoosier groaned, before removing his foot and slamming the door in front of him, hugging his blanket to himself all the while. He patted the top of the car, signaling for the driver to leave, before casting an exhausted look to the guys in the car. " See you fuckers later."

Runner sighed and said to Sidney, "Sorry about being such a downer! I just don't want more to do with being a soldier for one day... just one day is all I ask for."

Sid sighed. " Maybe they just want us there to count us, or somthin'." Sid suggested as the cab took off, leaving Hoosier and Leckie behind in the dust.

Runner sighed and gave Sidney a sarcastic look before remarking, "Yeah. Sure, Sidney. That's what they want us there for".

Sid turned to Runner, an eyebrow raised. " What do you think they want, then, Oh All Seeing Sage?" Sid asked, repeating Runner's sarcasm.

Runner looked over at Sidney and retorted, "They probably just want to send us somewhere else. No way we're getting off the line without some sorta catch".
(I'm too lazy to look up who's playing Sid but whoever it is, I commend you for your awesome name calling with the Oh All Seeing Sage)
